COMMUNITY MEETING ON THE DAMARISCOTTA WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT DESIGN PLANS

There will be a Community Meeting on the Damariscotta Waterfront Improvement Project Design Plans at the Lincoln Theater located at 2 Theater Street, Damariscotta on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 5:00

All downtown business owners and Damariscotta citizens are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in a community conversation on the Town's waterfront improvement project.  The improvements to date have been the construction of the new downtown restroom and the replacement of sanitary sewer lines in the muncipal parking lot, improved pedestrian access, flood protection and improvements to Riverside Park.  The waterfront improvement project is being funded by a $1 million private donation and a $3 million grant from the Economic Development Administration.  Among the key issues to be discussed at the community meeting are the design of a flood wall along the waterfront and the phasing of the project in a way that will have the least impact on downtown business activity.
