Special Town Meeting

The Select Board has called for a Special Town Meeting to allow the voters to consider the following items: 

• Amendments to the Newcastle-Damariscotta Harbor Management Ordinance & Interlocal Agreement
• Amendments to the Joint Shellfish Conservation Ordinance
• Amendments to the Land Use Ordinance
• Amendments to the Shoreland Zone Ordinance
• Adoption of the Comprehensive Plan
• Appropriation of funds from Fund Balance for EV Charging Stations
• Authorization for the Select Board to appropriate and expend ARPA - Local Fiscal Recover Funds

This meeting will begin as a joint Damariscotta - Newcastle town meeting as both towns will be considering the shared Harbor Management and Shellfish Conservation Ordinances.  Once the two articles of interest have been voted on, voters from the two towns will separate into two rooms to continue their respective meeting and consideration of articles.
