Waterfront Project
Phase I of the project included the construction of new sewer lines under the parking lot as well as the public restroom. This phase was completed in 2022. Since then, the town has been working with the engineers and US EDA to ready Phase II which includes flood resiliency measures like a new stormwater collection system as well as a floodwall. Though the original plan called for a permanent floodwall, the permitting and approval process has left us to consider a deployable floodwall to be placed in the same location. This system would be deployed when necessary and the exact system has not been identified at this time.
Phase II has been awarded to Crooker Construction LLC. The project engineers are working with the contractor and town staff to propose a project schedule. We will look to engage local stakeholders to ensure the project goes as smoothly as possible with an emphasis on open communication and promoting the downtown as "open during construction".

Hodgdon Street
This drainage improvement project will be limited to the section of Hodgdon St between Blue Haven Dr and Pleasant St. Once complete, the stormdrain system will be connected to the existing stormdrain system that runs under Church/Chapman Streets.
Tentative Project Schedule:
Week of 10/16
- Anticipating that catch basins will be installed this week. All signage will be displayed and erosion control measures will be installed.
Week of 10/23
- This week we should install all the pipe and associated drainage, build road bed and prep for paving, if time allows pave base layer
Week of 10/30
- Adjust basins, install curb, back up curb, prep for finish pavement and install finish
Week of 11/6
- Project close out and final clean up, install any loam and seed that is need and stabilize for winter.
