Department Assessment 2025
The department had a voluntary assessment completed by the Maine Chiefs of Police Association. The assessment included three general phases, (1) a review of town documents, crime statistics, polices, etc.., (2) an on-site evaluation, and (3) the independent analysis and report. The major objective of this report is to present a blueprint for the future of the department, not to be construed as a "report card". Completing this report will serve as a resource to bolster and continue the professional status and effectiveness of the Damariscotta Police Department.
