Engine 1

Engine 1

Engine 1 is  a 2001 Pierce Class A Pumper.  This apparatus carries 1000 gallons of water and has a 1500 gallon per minute pump with an integrated foam system and three pre-connected hand lines.  The custom cab carries five firefighters along with four self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).  Other tools and equipment include large diameter hose, thermal imaging camera, gas meter, positive pressure fan and hand tools to combat house fires.


Engine 2

Engine 2 is a 1986 GMC Forestry Truck equipped with 4 wheel drive which is used to fight woods and grass fires.  This unit carries portable backpack tanks and other hand tools needed to perform forest fire duties.  The commercial cab is a three person bench seat and a front mounted 750 gallon per minute pump.


Engine 3

Engine 3

Engine 3 is a 1978 American LaFrance Class A Pumper.  This unit is primarily used to respond to large fires in town and to all mutual aid calls out of town.  This apparatus is slated for replacement during the summer of 2014.


Ladder 4

Ladder 4

Ladder 4 is a 2003 E-One Quint.  A Quint is a fire apparatus that serves five functions on the fire ground and is a term used today for an aerial apparatus which includes a pump and water.  The five functions include aerial apparatus, water pump, water tank, hose and ground ladders.  The aerial is 100’ straight stick with a pre piped water way.  There is 500 gallons of water on board and a 2000 gallon per minute pump powered by a 500 hp Detroit Diesel motor.  The custom cab holds six firefighters along with five self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).  Other tools and equipment include 1000’ of large diameter hose, ground ladders, gas meter, electric positive pressure fan and hand tools.  There are four pre-connected hand lines on the truck.  Ladder 4 was welcomed into service at a wet-down on May 14, 2011.

Rescue 5 is a 1989 GMC that carries all rescue equipment for vehicle extrication (jaws of life, hydraulic rams, air bags), all of our water rescue gear and a host of hand tools for all emergencies.


Tank 1

Tank 1

Tank 1 is a 1978 International Tank Truck that carries 2800 gallons of water for the areas of town that are not protected by the hydrant system.  This apparatus is slated for replacement during the summer of 2014.


New Engine 3

New Engine 3

New Engine 3 is a 2014 International Tanker/Pumper built by Rosenbauer that carries 2000 gallons of water and a 1500 gallon per minute pump.  The apparatus has a built in foam system with a 30 gallon foam concentrate tank.  The cab is a two person commercial cab.  The truck is equipped with side dumps which can be actuated from the cab and will carry large diameter hose, ground ladders, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and hand tools required to fight fires.  There are three pre-connect hand lines on the truck.  This apparatus will be welcomed into service during the summer of 2014.  A wet-down will be held at the station to welcome the truck into service for the community.  You can see a picture of the truck arriving at the factory to the right.

2005 Surrey Education Smoke Trailer.  This unit is used to teach fire prevention at the local school as well and around the county upon request.


Car 1

Car 1 is a 2004 Dodge Durango that is used as a command vehicle for all calls.  This unit is set up as a mobile command unit and has a small variety of equipment that allows the Chief to respond directly to a scene and set up incident command to keep all emergency works safe.


Rescue Boat

Rescue Boat a 14-ft Rescue One Connector Boat.  This boat draws very little draft and can be maneuvered in close quarters.  The bow has a dive/rescue platform for performing water rescues.
