Waterfront/Parking Lot Project
Waterfront Project

Phase I of the project included the construction of new sewer lines under the parking lot as well as the public restroom. This phase was completed in 2022. Phase II was awarded to Crooker Construction Inc and construction began in September of 2024, which included flood resiliency measures like a new stormwater collection system as well as a floodwall. Though the original plan called for a permanent floodwall, the permitting and approval process has left us to consider a deployable floodwall to be placed in the same location and the Select Board authorized the purchase of the Megasecur Water-Gate, see below for product details.

Parking Concerns:
Work resumed April 7, 2025 and will continue into May 2025. At this time, all work will need to be completed before the end of May. We understand that this project will have impacts to tennants, business/property owners, employees, visitors, and many others, though work areas will be much more localized. Major closures of the parking lot will take place during paving, currently scheduled for April 29-May 1.
We will continue to update you along the way and look forward to seeing you downtown.
